Senior Project Scientist
Qualification
and Experience:
A person having Ph. D. with 1st class or equivalent (in terms or Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the architecture and design, building science, building energy simulation, mechanical engineering with a very good academic record throughout & a minimum of 03 years teaching/research/Industrial experience after Ph.D. Or An outstanding architect designer/Engineer/Technologist with 1st Class B. Tech./ M.Sc., M Arch, M. Plan or M. tech (or equivalent) having a minimum of 06 to 08 years working experience respectively in Industry of repute and who has made significant contribution to knowledge but not having Ph.D. Degree.
Work Profile:
Assist in Research and Development work related to Building Science / Green Buildings / Energy Efficient Building System, modeling data assimilation, model diagnostics and implementation R&D on Energy Efficiency data for built environment or energy efficiency or green buildings. Energy Efficiency processes modeling, execution of field data collection, Computer software development, Data processing and analysis, and Statistical Analysis

Project Associate
Qualification
and Experience:
A person having M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan with 1st class or equivalent (in terms or Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in architecture and design, building science, physics, instrumentation and controls, mechanical engineering with a very good academic record throughout. Or An outstanding Scientist/Engineer/Technologist with 1st class B. Tech./ M. Sc. / M.C.A. working in Industry and having a minimum of 03 years’ experience respectively with established reputation Desirable:
(1) An MBA or Equivalent,
(2) Experience of computer system for information processing and retrieval.
Work Profile:

The candidates have to execute and manage R & D activities in the centre. Need to work on different projects and techniques and work for the development Leading to research on Building Science, Energy Efficient Building Systems, Computer software development, statistical analysis, data collection and analysis. Good quantitative and analytical skills required. Field / survey experience is a plus.

Architect
Qualification
and Experience:

A person having Bachelor's or Master's at the preceding degree in Architecture or a similar related field with an excellent academic record, with 0-2 years’ experience, fresh graduates.

Work Profile:

• Conduct site surveys, field measurements, data collection and photographic documentation to support research projects in building science, climate, energy, and the built environment.

• Prepare architectural drawings, technical illustrations, scientific infographics, and visual documentation for research publications, technical reports, proposals, presentations and other formats.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to translate complex scientific concepts into clear visual outputs and support the documentation of laboratory facilities, experimental setups, and field installations.

• Organize and maintain drawings, photographs, and technical documentation generated through research activities.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is essential. Experience with additional visualization software will be an added advantage.

Data Scientist
Qualification
and Experience:

A person having Bachelor's or Master's at the preceding degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology or a related field with a very good academic record throughout & a minimum of 03 years of relevant experience. 

Work Profile:

• Process, manage and analyse large streams of time-series data generated from field sensors, environmental monitoring systems, HVAC, lighting systems and other building performance and urban climate monitoring infrastructure.

• Develop predictive models to optimize energy consumption, forecast peak demand loads and support data-driven decision-making for building performance and environmental research.

• Develop and implement anomaly detection algorithms to identify equipment faults, system inefficiencies and operational anomalies before failures occur.

• Undertake independent scientific data analysis and scientific writing to support technical reports, research publications, analytical outputs and project deliverables in collaboration with multidisciplinary research teams.

• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced statistical analysis and machine learning is essential. Knowledge of SQL and time-series databases such as InfluxDB and TimescaleDB is required. Experience with Spark, Hadoop or cloud-based data platforms will be an added advantage.

GIS Specialist
Qualification
and Experience:

A person having Bachelor's or Master's at the preceding degree in Geomatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, Geography, Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related field with a very good academic record throughout & a minimum of 02 years of relevant experience. 

Work Profile:

• Develop, maintain and manage geospatial databases supporting research in climate, energy and the built environment.

• Conduct spatial analysis and map the spatial distribution of urban heat islands across city landscapes and other environmental phenomena using GIS and remote sensing datasets.

• Process, analyse and interpret geospatial datasets including Landsat, MODIS and ECOSTRESS thermal datasets to support multidisciplinary research projects..

• Undertake independent scientific data analysis and scientific writing to support technical reports, research publications, geospatial outputs and project deliverables in collaboration with multidisciplinary research teams.

• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and QGIS is essential. Experience in processing Landsat, MODIS and ECOSTRESS thermal datasets will be an added advantage.
