Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy (CARBSE) at CEPT University has signed a MoU with Indo-Swiss Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP) to enhance building insulation material characterization facilities and associated human competencies to promote building energy efficiency in India.
The two partners, along with other partner organizations in India & Switzerland, will work together to harmonize building insulation material testing protocols and in the characterization of building insulation materials available in the Indian market.
The Indo-Swiss Building Energy Efficiency Project (BEEP) is a bilateral cooperation project between the Ministry of Power (MoP), Government of India and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) of the Swiss Confederation. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is the implementing agency on behalf of the MoP while the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is the agency in charge on behalf of the FDFA.
CARBSE at CEPT University hosts one of its kind building energy performance laboratory on its campus. Its core research area is building envelop performance, HVAC & thermal comfort, building automation, renewable energy integration and day lighting.
